Child Protection & Safeguarding at AISL
At the American International School of Lesotho (AISL), the safety and well-being of every student is our highest priority. We are deeply committed to maintaining a secure, supportive, and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
To uphold this commitment, all AISL staff members—and all external consultants and coaches—receive training, and sign a Child Protection Agreement that outlines their responsibilities in safeguarding students and supporting one another.
Ms. Betty Matlali is our Child Protection Officer, serving as a dedicated point of contact for all matters related to child protection on campus.
In addition, all staff are actively engaged in ongoing training to strengthen their ability to identify, respond to, and support students in need. This training also includes reviewing our campus facilities, policies, and procedures to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and care.
AISL is dedicated to fostering a culture of vigilance, compassion, and accountability—because every child deserves to learn and grow in a safe environment.
