- AISL.SCI.01. PHYSICAL SCIENCE: Students will demonstrate an understanding of the structure and properties of matter.
- AISL.SCI.01.G2.01 Understand that materials can exist in different states (e.g. solid, liquid, gas).
- AISL.SCI.01.G2.02 Identify matter in its different state (e.g. identify that ice is water as a solid).

- AISL.SCI.12.G2.01 Demonstrate the use of scientific method by 1) identifying a problem to solve; 2) creating a hypothesis; 3) testing the hypothesis through various strategies (e.g. data collection, observation) 4) make conclusions.
