- AISL.MAT.01 Number Sense: Students will understand and apply numbers, ways of representing numbers, relationships among numbers, and number systems.
- AISL.MAT.01.G8.01 Understand the relationships among equivalent number representations
- AISL.MAT.01.G8.02 Understand the concepts of ratio, proportion, and percent and the relationships among them.
- AISL.MAT.01.G8.03 Apply properties of real numbers (Order of operations, Laws of exponents, Closure)
- AISL.MAT.02 Computation : Students will estimate, compute, and assess reasonableness of solutions.
- AISL.MAT.02.G8.01 Understand exponentiation of rational numbers and root-extraction
- AISL.MAT.02.G8.02 Use proportional reasoning to solve mathematical and real-world problems
- AISL.MAT.02.G8.03 Understand the properties of operations with rational numbers
- AISL.MAT.02.G8.04 Understand how different algorithms work for arithmetic computations and operations
- AISL.MAT.03 Algebra: Students will use algebraic methods to represent, analyze, and solve problems
- AISL.MAT.03.G8.01 Understand various representations of patterns and functions and the relationships among them.
- AISL.MAT.03.G8.02 Solve simple inequalities and non-linear equations with rational number solutions, using concrete and informal methods

- AISL.MAT.04 Measurement: Students will estimate and measure accurately by using appropriate units, tools, and technologies.
- AISL.MAT.04.G8.01 Understand the concepts of precision and significant digits as they relate to measurement
- AISL.MAT.04.G8.02 Select and uses appropriate units and tools, depending on degree of accuracy required, to find measurements angles, perimeter, area, surface area, and volume.

- AISL.MAT.07 Problem Solving: Students will apply a wide variety of mathematical concepts, processes, and skills to solve a broad range of problems.
